hello!
hello!

my name is Sarah and I am a certified yoga instructor and proud mother to my two young boys. I am inspired by the impact yoga has on the body, mind, and spirit, and the ways that yoga can build community.

my yoga journey began young, learning the basics from my mother. In 2009, after years of struggling to cope with trauma I discovered my daily practice and at first, hoping only to deepen my own practice, I completed my first teacher training program in 2011, studying with some truly inspiring yoga instructors. the benefits of developing a deep practice shifted my energy and allowed me to find space to move forward after years of settling in stagnancy. I quickly realized how eager I was to help others discover and grow their own yoga practice and began teaching a variety of yoga classes, including hatha, vinsyasa, power, restorative and beginner.

the impact yoga had on my pregnancy, labour and post partum recovery caused a shift in my teaching. I re-focused my practice to centre on pre and post natal yoga . I furthered my education and completed Blooma's Prenatal Yoga certification in 2014 and Bellies Inc. Core Confidence program in 2015. discomforted by the fitness industries misinformation and lack of support and resources for new mothers I was dedicated to creating safe, inclusive and recovery focused sequences involving a blend of movement, breathing and visualization techniques while continuing to embrace a traditional yoga approach.

my children continue to be an inspiration to my practice and teachings. as they grow I am fortunate to be able to share our love for yoga with other families and children though specialized yoga classes, incorporating a playful and creative atmosphere to capture the attention of young minds, sometimes led with with the enthusiastic assistance of my sons.

I would love to be a part of your own yoga journey. click here to find the right practice for you.
